sn36.19:9.1 And what is that pleasure?
sn36.19:9.2 It’s when, with the fading away of rapture, a mendicant enters and remains in the third absorption, where they meditate with equanimity, mindful and aware, experiencing for themselves the bliss of which the noble ones declare, ‘Equanimous and mindful, one meditates in bliss.’
sn36.19:9.3 This is a pleasure that is finer than that.
sn36.19:9.4 There are those who might say
sn36.19:9.5 that this is the highest pleasure and happiness that sentient beings experience.
sn36.19:9.6 But I don’t grant them that.
sn36.19:9.7 Why is that?
sn36.19:9.8 Because there is another pleasure that is finer than that.
