sn22.63:1.1 So I have heard.
sn22.63:1.2 At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.
sn22.63:1.3 Then a mendicant went up to the Buddha, bowed, sat down to one side, and said to him,
sn22.63:1.4 “Sir, may the Buddha please teach me Dhamma in brief. When I’ve heard it, I’ll live alone, withdrawn, diligent, keen, and resolute.”
sn22.63:1.5 “When you grasp, mendicant, you’re bound by Māra.
sn22.63:1.6 Not grasping, you’re free from the Wicked One.”
sn22.63:1.7 “Understood, Blessed One! Understood, Holy One!”
