mn35:27.2 “Worthy Gotama, it was rude and impudent of me to imagine I could attack you in debate.
mn35:27.3 For a person might find safety after attacking a rutting elephant, but not after attacking the worthy Gotama.
mn35:27.4 A person might find safety after attacking a blazing mass of fire, but not after attacking the worthy Gotama.
mn35:27.5 They might find safety after attacking a poisonous viper, but not after attacking the worthy Gotama.
mn35:27.6 It was rude and impudent of me to imagine I could attack you in debate.
mn35:27.7 Would the worthy Gotama together with the mendicant Saṅgha please accept tomorrow’s meal from me?”
mn35:27.8 The Buddha consented with silence.
