mereka mengingat kehidupan-kehidupan lampau mereka;
they recollected their past lives.

In the middle watch of the night,

dibbacakkhuṁ visodhayuṁ;
mereka memurnikan mata dewa;
they purified their clairvoyance.

Rattiyā pacchime yāme,
Pada jaga terakhir malam,
In the last watch of the night,
thig5.11:4.6
tamokhandhaṁ padālayuṁ.
mereka menghancurkan gumpalan kegelapan.
they shattered the mass of darkness.
