Tīṇi pāpassa mūlāni,
Adapun tiga akar kejahatan,
As for the three roots of evil,

dhunanti sucikārino;
dengan perbuatan suci mereka mengguncangnya;
by pure deeds they shake them off.

Sabbaṁ pāpaṁ pahīnesaṁ,
segala kejahatan telah mereka tinggalkan—
They have given up all wickedness—
thig13.2:6.4
tena me samaṇā piyā.
karena itu aku menyukai para petapa.
that’s why I like ascetics.
