“Gacchaṁ vadesi samaṇaṭṭhitomhi,
“Sewaktu berjalan, petapa, engkau berkata ‘Aku telah berhenti.’
“While walking, ascetic, you say ‘I’ve stopped.’

Mamañca brūsi ṭhitamaṭṭhitoti;
Dan aku telah berhenti, tetapi engkau mengatakan aku belum.
And I have stopped, but you tell me I’ve not.

Pucchāmi taṁ samaṇa etamatthaṁ,
Aku bertanya kepadamu, petapa, tentang hal ini:
I’m asking you this, ascetic:

‘Kathaṁ ṭhito tvaṁ ahamaṭṭhitomhi’”.
'Bagaimana engkau berhenti sedangkan aku tidak berhenti?'"
