Upanītavayo ca dānisi,
Kini usiamu telah berlalu,
You’ve journeyed the stages of life,

Sampayātosi yamassa santikaṁ;
engkau berangkat menuju hadapan Yama.
and now you set out to meet Yama.

Vāso te natthi antarā,
Di tengah jalan tiada tempat berhenti,
Along the way there’s nowhere to stay,

Pātheyyampi ca te na vijjati.
dan tiada pula bekal untuk perjalanan.
yet you have no supplies for the road.
